I hate to stand close to the amp

I use to have it and it is become my habit not to stand new close the guitar amp for certain reasons. This applies if I play my guitar in the studio or play on stage.

Why?

First reason, if we stay too close to the amp it will give some nasty feedback to the guitar. It creates unpleasent humming and will distruct my tone and concentration too. I know some people say that that will not happen if you using a very good guitar and pickups. But, can you guarantee that? I don’t think so.

Second reason, I dont think I can hear a good sound balance with other instrument if I stay close to the amp. It’s true and this happens all the time especially to my second guitarist, I dont know why he likes to stay close to the amp even I told him not to do that so many times. “I can hear my guitar good enough and convenienct for me to adjust the knobs.” This is his common excuses.

This is the secret the sweetest tone you can hear from your amp is only can be hear when you are not too close to your amp, give it away about 5 to 6 feet  in front of your amp. And if your amp is small, elevate it. Maybe put it on the chair or woodbox will help.

This also in some reason I dont like small studio, I dont like to be squeeze and stand near to my amp. Anyway, small studio is sucks.
